Can One Referral Stimulate the Economy?


Absolutely! If that one referral leads to another and another and…

Did you know that March 9-13 is Make a Referral WEEK?  And with the current economic conditions, it has come at a perfect time to refer your curstomers, vendors and friends!  Could you make ONE referral over the next week?  How about one for each day?  What if your referrals inspired each of those 5 people to refer someone else and so on and so on?  If you did the math and each person only referred ONE other person you’d have over 3,000 people doing business together by Friday. Think of the impact that could have on the economy!  If each person only had a $20 product to sell (and I am quite sure it would be much higher), that could amount to $60,000 dollars in business in one week! And if everyone reading this post did that, it would be in the millions.  Wow, talk about making a difference.  Talk about economic stimulus! 

The people over at Make a Referral Week.com have created a challenge. It is called the March to 1000 referrals made. As of this writing they already have 43 people who have shared their referral stories and the week hasn’t even begun.

All you have to do is find out what your customers are looking that you don’t currently offer and find people in your network to refer them to. Find out what they need and help them get their needs met.

I love the idea of Make a Referral Week! There are a number of people in my field whom I admire and respect and I think they provide a great service.

I think some business owners may be reluctant to do it because they feel as if they will be losing something but, quite to the contrary, I believe if you give unselfishly, you will get so much more in return.
